Coaching has become a familiar word in the nonprofit sector, but do we really understand what it means? Join DeDe Esque and Tamela Spicer to learn how coaching differs from consulting and how it can benefit your organization. This Brown Bag event will focus on:

  • Understanding the concept of coaching
  • Learning the difference between executive coaching and coaching as a management tool
  • Using coaching to help bring out the best in the staff and volunteers in your organization
  • Knowing when you’re ready for a coach

DeDe Esque is program manager for the Institute for Foundation and Donor Learning at the Dorothy A. Johnson Center for Philanthropy, Grand Valley State University, and is a certified leadership coach.
Tamela Spicer

Tamela Spicer is program manager for Nonprofit Services at the Dorothy A. Johnson Center for Philanthropy, and is a part-time faculty in the School of Public, Nonprofit and Health Administration at Grand Valley State University.
