Stephanie Adams recently joined Friends of Grand Rapids parks as executive director. Previous to this role, Stephanie served as marketing and communications manager here at the Dorothy A. Johnson Center for Philanthropy at Grand Valley State University, where she spearheaded the #GRgives on #GivingTuesday initiative. Her experience also includes marketing and development leadership roles at local nonprofits including The Salvation Army Kroc Center, Goodwill Industries of Greater Grand Rapids, and West Michigan Center for Arts and Technology. Adams is a alumna of Leadership Grand Rapids 2010, and serves on the executive board for Camp Blodgett.
Steve Faber is the West Michigan Team Leader for Byrum & Fisk Communications. He is an experienced, proven executive who has experience managing complex public-private partnerships, strategic communications campaigns and leading community initiatives. Steve is known for working with diverse perspectives and translating vision into actionable plans that produce lasting impact by engaging stakeholders, building consensus, managing strong teams and solving problems. Steve is the recipient of numerous community, professional and academic awards, including the Pi Alpha Alpha Distinguished Alumni Award (2013) from Grand Valley State University’s School of Public, Nonprofit & Health Administration; the David D. Hunting Humanitarian Award (2012) from the American Institute of Architects; and the Local Motion Local Hero Award (2011) from Local First. In 2010, he was recognized by the Grand Rapids Business Journal as a “Forty Under 40.”
Shelley Irwin is the host and producer for The WGVU Morning Show, a news magazine talk-show format on the local NPR affiliate Monday through Friday. She also hosts several public affairs program on the TV side, including Family Health Matters and Kalamazoo Lively Arts. Shelley is award winning in her field, including five consecutive Gracie Allen Awards and recently awarded the 2016 Athena Award. She serves on several community boards, has been named one of the 50 Most Influential Women in West Michigan twice by Gemini Publications and has represented the US in the Long Distance Triathlon and Duathlon World Championships.
Jennifer Pascua is a co-host of “My West Michigan” as well as a television reporter and anchor for WZZM 13. She contributes to News at Five with community engagement, community advocacy, and social media stories. Jennifer has been with WZZM since October 2005. Her two decades in broadcasting include KWQC-TV & KLJB-TV in Davenport, IA, WQAD-TV, in Moline, IL, and WREX-TV in Rockford, IL. She started out in radio at WNIJ in DeKalb, IL. She grew up in Rochelle, Illinois (go Hubs!) and is a proud Huskie graduating from Northern Illinois University.
