In the Fall of 2013, over 3,000 greater Grand Rapids residents shared their voice on the most important issues surrounding their life. The Johnson Center asked for information on their basic needs, housing, employment, safety, discrimination, healthcare, kids, and their perceptions of the City of Grand Rapids. The team connected participant’s responses with demographic data from the survey and the census.
- 3,395 greater Grand Rapids residents responded to the survey.
- The Johnson Center administered both online and paper surveys.
- This year’s survey exchanged a “random” sample for a pathway toward representativeness.
