Nonprofits and Tourism – Not Your Average CSR
January 26 @ 12:00 pm–1:00 pm EST

Explore the many ways tourism organizations are engaging in CSR!
Corporate social responsibility, or CSR, is one way for-profit businesses think about and implement strategies to support their communities, the environment, and the world.
CSR itself comes in all shapes and sizes — and in the tourism industry, it often looks very different from how companies that sell traditional products engage.
In this session, you’ll learn about some of the many different ways tourism organizations are engaging in CSR — including exploring specific examples, like the Michigan Cares for Tourism initiative.
Discover a model for understanding strategic CSR programs, and think broadly about how nonprofits can engage with tourism organizations to further your mutual goals.
This session will help you:
- Gain a better understanding of what corporate social responsibility is and how it works.
- Learn about different models for engaging in CSR.
- Discover ways nonprofits and tourism organizations can work together.
Price: Free!
Format: Virtual. All registrants will receive the Zoom access link and password via email from Eventbrite two days before the event.
