Led by Emily Brenner and Mandy Sharp Eizinger, this workshop will help you:

• Determine what philanthropic mission is meaningful to you — or how to find it.
• Identify functions of nonprofit boards and how to position yourself for board service.
• Identify key questions for vetting and joining a board.

Emily Brenner, M.P.A., is a program associate at the Johnson Center for Philanthropy. In this role, she assists the learning services team in providing professional development opportunities for the philanthropic sector. Mandy Sharp Eizinger, M.S., is a program manager at the Dorothy A. Johnson Center for Philanthropy at Grand Valley State University.
