Making Michigan’s Philanthropic History Accessible for Learning
This year Our State of Generosity will launch an online platform that makes the history and lessons learned of Michigan philanthropy accessible to nonprofit and foundation practitioners, philanthropy scholars, and future nonprofit and philanthropic leaders.
The platform will describe the creation, cooperation, and efficiency of the four statewide infrastructure organizations in Michigan. This set of organizations work closely and collaboratively to increase and improve the effectiveness of foundations, nonprofits, and individual volunteer commitment in Michigan and beyond. The four collaborating partners in this project include:
- Dorothy A. Johnson Center for Philanthropy,
- Council of Michigan Foundations,
- Michigan Community Service Commission, and
- Michigan Nonprofit Association.
