Jackie Smith joined the Johnson Center in July 2022 as a research manager for the Community Data and Research Lab. Working collaboratively with research associates, data analysts, and other staff across the center, her work focuses on program evaluation, quantitative and qualitative analysis, writing, and presentation support for applied research and evaluation projects.

Jackie has more than a decade of research and evaluation experience across multiple domains, from experimental social psychology to applied community research in early care and education settings. Prior to joining the Johnson Center, she held research positions at Clayton Early Learning in Denver, Colorado, University of Massachusetts Amherst, and Yale University.

Jackie holds a doctorate in social psychology from Yale University and a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and French from Calvin University. She grew up in Grand Rapids and is happy to call it home again with her husband and two young kids.
