Are you beginning board service in 2025? Are you looking to brush up on the basics?
Board service can be an immensely satisfying undertaking. While passion and commitment often lead people to serve on nonprofit boards, having the technical skills to be effective is critical to helping an organization succeed.
This three-hour, virtual session is designed for people interested in board service or those looking to strengthen and refresh their knowledge and skills. It also aims to help executive directors work more effectively with their boards.
Following the session, participants will be able to:
- Demonstrate an understanding of the core functions, legal, and other responsibilities of a nonprofit board of directors.
- Understand board governance and how boards are structured.
- Identify common challenges and related strategies facing nonprofit boards.
