Video // Summit Replay: Partners on the Giving Journey
In January 2019, the Johnson Center hosted the fifth National Summit on Family Philanthropy: Our Donor Journeys and Why They Matter. At this two-day event, diverse philanthropists shared their personal giving journeys and offered lessons they thought would be especially useful for other donors.
These stories were shared during our three plenary panels: Partners on the Giving Journey, Journeys After Trauma, and Next Gen Social Justice Journeys. At the time, we filmed each panel to capture the important and moving conversations that happened there. We are proud to present these videos as Summit Replay.
Summit Replay: Partners on the Giving Journey
In this panel discussion, three couples explore the joys and complexities of travelling their donor path together. What do partners learn from each other? How do they take advantage of the distinctive assets that each partner brings to the journey? How do they make joint decisions and how do they address disagreements along the way? How do they craft and pursue a shared vision for the next steps in their shared journey?
