Emily Brenner

Emily Brenner is a project coordinator for the Dorothy A. Johnson Center for Philanthropy at Grand Valley State University (GVSU) in Grand Rapids, Mich. Emily joined the Johnson Center as a student assistant in 2018, and transitioned into her current position in July 2019. Emily’s primary responsibilities include the management and production of courses for The Grantmaking School, as well as assisting with other workshops and webinars.

Emily holds a B.A. in Global Studies and Social Impact from GVSU, with a minor in Latin American Studies. Emily received the Excellence-in-a-Discipline Award for her major in 2019. She plans to pursue a master’s degree in the next few years. Emily is passionate about philanthropy, and enjoys learning new skills and knowledge in relation to the field.
