Emily Dorn Jex joined the Johnson Center as a data analyst in January 2022. In this role, she assists the Community Data and Research Lab (CDRL) through data acquisition, cleaning, analysis, interpretation, and presentation support.

Previously, Emily conducted mathematics research at Michigan State University and Arizona State University. She also worked as a biostatistics intern with Montcalm Care Network and as a competitive pricing data analyst with Meijer.

Emily earned a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics and history with a minor in computer science from Olivet College, where she received the Donald A. Morris Academic Excellence Award for being one of the top five graduating seniors. Emily also holds a Master of Science in biostatistics from Grand Valley State University, where she received the Graduate Dean Citation for academic excellence in the biostatistics program.

Outside of work, Emily enjoys baking bread, reading, and drinking lots of tea.
