Contact Katie
Katie Baker joined the Johnson Center in March 2023 as a program manager for learning services, bringing a background in development, grants, volunteer management, relationship building, and fundraising events. In this role, Katie seeks to support organizations and amplify voices for more inclusive communities.
Before transitioning to the field of philanthropy, Katie served as a museum professional focused on curatorial and exhibition work. Through her work in arts and cultural organizations, she has developed a unique perspective of nonprofits and the challenges they face in the sector.
Katie received an M.A. in arts and cultural management from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota, as well as a B.A. in art history from Michigan State University. She holds certificates in DEI in the Workplace and Human-Centered Design.
Outside of work, Katie likes to spend time with her husband and two young children at museums, at the beach, or eating ice cream. She also enjoys gardening and crochet.
