Sandra Osei is a second-year graduate student in data science and analytics at Grand Valley State University (GVSU). She serves as the Kathy A. Agard Graduate Assistant/Fellow with the W.K. Kellogg Community Philanthropy Chair at the Johnson Center for Philanthropy, where she supports research, writing, and data analysis to advance the study and practice of community philanthropy.
Sandra earned her bachelor’s degree in statistics and computer science from the University of Ghana, where she also worked as a teaching assistant in the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science. At GVSU, she worked as a civic engagement assistant in the Office of Student Life and serves as vice president of the Uniting Nations Club. She is also a Cook Leadership Fellow and a resident assistant for Grand Valley Apartments.
Sandra has volunteered with organizations including Gilda’s Club, Heart of West Michigan United Way, and Dégagé. She is passionate about civic engagement, innovation, and applying data for social good.
